Dwayne Wade’s daughter, Zaya Wade, is making strides in the world of footwear! The teen recently took to Instagram to announce her collaboration with Puma.
“I’m so excited to share my custom Palermos with everyone. I had so much fun with the designing process and being able to incorporate music into them,” the teen excitedly started off her caption for a carousel of images of her creations.
She continued, “Music has been such a vital part of my life and the SOS and Renaissance album are two albums that have had a great impact on me, so I had to reflect my take away from those albums. “Good days on my mind” and “All up in your mind” both speak to my feeling about 2023 and how I’ve grown as a person. @Pumasportstyle #ForeverClassic @majorwavezz”
And of course, her famous parents were nothing but proud of their daughter and her accomplishment.
NBA legend, Dwayne Wade wrote in the post comments, “Proud Papa.”
“Love,” actress Gabrielle Union wrote under her husband’s comment, encouraging the teen.
Zaya is no stranger to the word of fashion. The beautiful teen made headlines with her runway debut at Miu Miu in Paris, marking the beginning of her modeling journey.
So taking the next step to become a designer is evermore highlighting the fact that this 11th-grader is undeniably a force to be reckoned with.
In addition ensuring that she makes her her mark on the fashion world, Zaya is also making sure that she continues to be a visual advocate for those in the LGBTQIA+ community. Zaya came out as a part of the transgender community when she was 12-years-old.
“Seeing trans celebrities out there acting and modeling and just doing all the things that they love to do is inspiring in itself,” Zaya said in a cover interview for Homme Girls.
She continued, “It showed me that we’re here and we can do it. I hope that I’m that for a lot of people.”
