The story of Gotti and Simmons dates back to October 2015 when the rapper publicly expressed his admiration for her in the track “Down in the DM.” After the song’s success, fans began speculating about Yo Gotti and Angela’s relationship. However, Simmons put an end to the rumors when she announced her engagement to Sutton Tennyson in April 2016.
Gotti addressed the situation in his 2017 track “Save It for Me,” revealing his feelings about losing her to another man.
Not too long after, Sutton Tennyson and Simmons parted ways in December 2017, just a year after the birth of their son Sutton Joseph. Tragically, Tennyson was fatally shot and killed outside his home in Atlanta in an altercation on November 3, 2018.
After the tragic loss of her son’s father, Simmons kept a low profile for years, but in September of 2022, the internet buzzed when Gotti appeared to celebrate Simmons’ 35th birthday. Three months later, the couple confirmed their relationship through a romantic photoshoot posted on Instagram.
Since their public debut as a couple, Gotti and Simmons have shared glimpses of their relationship on social media, but this marks the first instance of them sharing moments with one of their children. While Angela, is a mom of one, Yo Gotti has six kids from previous relationships.
