Hazel will be just a smidge shy of her third birthday when the 66th annual Grammy Awards takes place in Los Angeles on February 4, 2024.

This record-breaking feat surpasses the previous youngest nominee, Leah Peasall, who clinched the Grammy at the tender age of 8 as part of The Peasall Sisters for their work on the acclaimed “O Brother, Where Art Thou?” soundtrack back in 2002. Talk about rewriting the record books!

And let’s not forget Blue Ivy Carter, daughter of Beyoncé and Jay-Z, who, at 8 years and 322 days, became the youngest individual Grammy winner for “Brown Skin Girl.” She was one of three credited artists on the video, along with her mom and Wizkid.

If “Hollywood” secures the Best Traditional R&B Performance award, Hazel Monét will not only be the youngest nominee but also the youngest winner in Grammy history, whether as part of a group or on her own.

“Hollywood” is a track from Victoria Monét’s debut studio album, “Jaguar II,” which has earned Victoria seven Grammy nominations, including Best R&B Album. Victoria is also in the running for Record of the Year with “On My Mama” and a spot in the Best New Artist category.

Victoria Monét recently shared her thoughts on balancing motherhood with a thriving music career.

She wrote,” One of my favorite parts about my job is this right here! Hazels presence! I like to call this chapter The Light. It’s the chapter where my daughter gets a front row seat to all of the hard work! She gets to see what it takes to chase a dream! What it takes to beat odds, run a business and simultaneously be the product being consumed. She gets to see what mommy does and understand the sacrifices. She keeps life sweet. When I win she wins!!!”
