Bre Tiesi cleared the air on her relationship with her son’s father, Nick Cannon, during the premiere of Season 7 of Selling Sunset. The real estate professional delved into the dynamics of co-parenting with the Wild ‘N Out star.
“I love Nick. I’m happy with my relationship, however that is, and like, if I date, I date,” Bre revealed to her Selling Sunset co-stars. “I do what I want to do, but I still would never disrespect Nick. I just wouldn’t,” she shared. “And even his situations and stuff, I’ve always been nothing but respectful of that. I know people don’t get it, and I don’t care that people don’t get it.”
Bre Tiesi faced strong scrutiny from Chelsea Lazkani during season six of Selling Sunset because of Nick Cannon’s nontraditional view of the family unit. Lazkani accused Cannon of being a “master manipulator” and deemed his decision to build a blended family as nothing more than “creating multiple broken homes.” The Reality TV star claimed her Christian faith as the reason for her opinion.
Bre responded to Chelsea’s statements by saying, “It’s unfortunate that my personal life and choices with my child’s father and my child affect her so much. Nothing we’re doing harms anyone. We’re very happy. My son is very happy. Everyone’s well taken care of.”
Bre Tiesi decided to join the cast of Selling Sunset during season six to address rumors. “Everyone has this misconception that I am who I’ve dated and that is a big reason why I was never outward with my child’s father,” she revealed during an interview with TIME earlier this year. “I’m a businesswoman, I’m involved in every aspect, and I’m completely different than what you would assume,” she shared.
Nick Cannon has a son, Legendary, with Bre Tiesi. The celebrity father has twelve kids in all.
