Keke Palmer is getting into the spirit of Halloween. The celebrity mom shared pictures from a recent photo session with her son, Leodis “Leo” Andrellton Jackson, which featured both of them in character.
Keke was the bride of Frankenstein during the session. Leo served as the doctor during the photoshoot. “He gave me LIFE,” Palmer said of the scene. Many fans caught the double meaning and commented on Leo’s cuteness.
“He is so adorable,” one social media follower shared. “His expression is always saying to me, ‘What do my folks having me doing NOW?’ Awesome costume.” Another fan asked, “Why would y’all be this stanking cute?”
Leo has certainly given his mom life. Keke shared the joys of motherhood with TODAY earlier this year.
“After having my baby, I’ve just gotten so much more powerful,” Palmer told the press. “I’m just so strengthened in a crazy way,” the actress added. “Strutting my stuff, enjoying. I’ll be honest, I think before I even had the baby, I was really actually quite self-conscious. In a way that you would expect, considering the kind of work that I do as a public figure.”
Keke’s personal affairs went public earlier this year when her son’s father and then-boyfriend, Darius Jackson, scrutinized her attire as too provocative for social media. Some accused Darius of mommy shaming and trying to control his then-girlfriend. He responded with a social media post that doubled down on his initial criticism.
“We live in a generation where a man of the family doesn’t want the wife and mother to his kids to showcase booty cheeks to please others and he gets told how much of a hater he is,” Jackson tweeted. “This is my family and my representation,” he added. “I have standards and morals to what I believe,” Darius declared.
Keke and her boyfriend parted ways days after the scrutiny and backlash. “I’m just continuing to spread my wings as a young woman,” Palmer told TODAY. “My headspace is just to continue to inspire and encourage myself and anybody else who wants to go down that road with me,” the actress continued.
“Because we’re growing and we are changing,” Keke told the press. “It’s all about loving who I am and loving what I experienced and what I’ve gone through that’s gotten me here. A lot of gratitude for me.”
