If you are a fan of both Black-ish and the Monster High universe, then get ready to rejoice as Miles Brown has officially joined the animated series cast.
In the Nickelodeon series, 18-year-old Brown will voice the character of Gil Webster.
So just who is Gil Webster? Well, if you don’t know, according to JustJaredJr.com, Gil is a freshwater monster and a comic book & graphic novel lover, a hobby he and Lagoona (Valeria Rodriguez) bond over. Gil is learning that each monster has the power to build a better, more just future and that anyone can be a hero and make a difference.
In addition to Brown, other recent famous voices who have been added to the cast include: Kate del Castillo as Selena Wolf, Rhea Seehorn as Medusa, Jessica Darrow as Skelita Calaveras, John O’Hurley as Hades, Debi Derryberry as Euryale, America Young as Stheno and Wayne Knight as Ralph.
For those of you who aren’t familiar at all with the Monster High Universe, let us catch you up to speed.
The monsters started out as monstrously fashionable dolls, a line produced by Mattel from 2010-2017. However, back by popular demand, they came back and thanks to Nickelodeon and Paramount+, the dolls were placed in the movie musical spotlight.
From dolls to the big screen and now to the small screen, the series follows the same story line as its predecessors, just on a weekly basis.
What can fans expect when they tune-in?
Well, according to IMDb.com, Monster High, the animated series follows the journey of Clawdeen Wolf, (portrayed by Gabrielle Nevaeh), as she arrives at Monster Hihg with a dark secret. With the help of her friends Draculaura and Frankie Stein, she is able to embrace her true monster heart and save the school from total destruction.
