Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Garcelle Beauvais is celebrating her twin sons Jaid and Jax’s birthday today.
“Sixteen years ago today, I received double the blessing! I love you boys to the moon and back! I’m so proud to be your mom! Happy birthday, Jax & Jaid,” Garcelle expressed in an Instagram post.
On October 18, 2007, the reality star welcomed her boys with her ex-husband, Mike Nilon.
“We’re so in love with them,” Beauvais told People magazine at the time. “They boys are just gorgeous.”
The twins, who were born in Los Angeles, joined their big brother Oliver Saunders, who is 15 years older than them.
Despite the age gap, Oliver and his twin brothers share a close bond. “To this day, my happiest moments are when all three of my boys are with me hanging out at home. Even though they are a generation apart, they love each other so much,” Beauvais wrote in a blog post for People.
“I learned the hard way that trying to have babies when you’re older is a whole different ball game. It took blood, sweat (both the good and bad kind!), lots of tears, and most importantly, fertility treatments. But I finally got pregnant. It was truly a miracle.”
Despite being fraternal twins, Jaid and Jax demonstrated unique characteristics right from the beginning..
“Even though they’re fraternal twins, I wondered if they would share a lot of similar personality traits. But from day one, they were different. Jax came out screaming while Jaid came out looking both serious and curious about the world around him,” she wrote in her post.
Now in high school, Jax and Jaid still seem to be polar opposites. While the Jax appears to be an introvert, Jaid is more outgoing and is a rising basketball star at his schoool.
