Blue Ivy Carter took her final bow during her mom Beyoncé’s 56-show Renaissance World Tour this past weekend. While it was a bitter-sweet moment for the 11-year-old, it won’t be the last time we see her in the spotlight.
On Sunday, Beyoncé took to social media to drop a bombshell announcement that has left her fans buzzing with excitement. She revealed that “Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé” is set to hit movie theaters on December 1st, following the grand finale of her tour in Kansas City, Missouri.
“Be careful what you ask for, ’cause I just might comply,” she captioned the trailer for the film.
“Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé” promises to document the tour’s epic journey, which kicked off in Stockholm in May and concluded on October 1st. While it undoubtedly offers a behind-the-scenes look at the tour’s action and captures intimate moments with the Queen Bey herself, it also puts a spotlight on someone very special – Blue Ivy Carter.
Throughout the Renaissance World Tour, Blue Ivy Carter made several memorable appearances alongside her superstar mother. Night after night, fans were treated to her incredible dance performances during songs like “My Power” and “Black Parade.”
Tina Knowles, Blue Ivy’s grandmother, shared her pride in her granddaughter’s performance skills with People magazine in July. She revealed, “Blue had one week to prepare, and she’s just getting better and better. So I’m the proud grandma, always.”
Beyoncé herself has expressed her immense pride in her eldest daughter. On May 29th, she posted a heartfelt message on social media, saying, “My beautiful first born. I’m so proud and thankful to be your mama. You bring us so much joy, my sweet angel.”
