Congratulations are in order for the eldest daughter of Kobe and Vanessa Bryant. Twenty-year-old Natalia Bryant recently made her runway debut in Versace’s Milan Fashion Week show.
In an exclusive interview with Vogue Magazine, the University of Southern California student expressed her deep gratitude for such an extreme honor.
“I am beyond excited about making my runway debut. It’s such an incredible opportunity and I’m so grateful to Donatella [Versace] and am honored that she has invited me to be a part of something so special,” Bryant said in her interview with the iconic fashion magazine.
In the interview, Bryant stated that she had the opportunity to meet the legendary Donatella Versace herself the day before the show while at her fitting.
“She was just so welcoming and sweet and made me feel so comfortable, especially with it being my first runway,” Bryant said. “Meeting her definitely helped settle any nerves.”
Bryant signed with IMG Models in 2021 with no expectations about the fashion industry or her budding modeling career.
“I wanted to start fresh and do my own thing without having to worry about comparing myself to anyone or setting myself to anyone’s standard,” she told Vogue. “Thankfully I’ve only had positive experiences and I’ve been so happy to see how supportive and welcoming everyone has been.”
When it comes to her runway walk, Byant got advice from the one person that she will always keep it 100%-her mother, Vanessa Bryant.
“She encourages me to have my own walk and establish my own way of doing things,” Bryant said in regards to her mother. “I’ve always loved watching videos of Naomi walking down the runway along with videos of other iconic supermodels I look up to. My mom says, ‘Walk like Naomi but remember to be yourself, put your own style to your walk and always with your head held high.’”
Natalia is the eldest of four girls with whom Vanessa Bryant shares with the late Kobe Bryant. Natalia’s sisters include: Gianna, Bianka, and Capri. Gianna Bryant died at the age of 13 with her father on January 26, 2020 as a result of a helicopter crash in Calabasas, CA.
