Safaree is taking the high road after his ex-wife, Erica Mena, was fired from the Love and Hip Hop (LHH) franchise. The recording artist took to Instagram last week to celebrate the mother of his children and to also offer support.

“My kids need their mother,” Safaree wrote in a social media post that also featured a picture of him with his son, Legend, and daughter, Safire Majesty. “My mumma (sic) taught me if you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say it all,” the LHHATL star continued. Safaree concluded that he was “protected by my God” before telling fans he was headed off to church.
The response to Safaree’s Instagram post was mixed. Some offered thoughts and prayers, while others rebuked both Erica Mena and Safaree for their behavior while in the public’s eye.
Erica was fired from the Love and Hip Hop franchise after calling another cast member a racial slur. The network terminated Mena’s contract while allowing the effects of her actions to play out during this season of the reality series. “Working hand-in-hand with our partners, viewers will see the impact of Erica Mena’s remarks play out in the final three episodes of the season,” the franchise promised.
Notice of Mena’s firing came days after she was arrested at a bar in Atlanta. Erica was accused of assaulting a police officer while her friends, Bambi and ZellSwag, were charged with lesser infractions.
Erica vowed to delve into her work as an actress after finalizing her divorce from Safaree a few months ago. She has starred in several Tubi films, which include The Stepmother films. Erica’s agreement with the ALLBLK network, which led to her feature in Hush, was terminated as a result of her firing from Love and Hip Hop. The actress has three kids – Legend, Safire, and King – in all.
