Shereé Whitfield is a glam-ma who only wants the best for her glam-baby!
The Real Housewives of Atlanta star recently hosted a Sip & See event to introduce friends and family to her granddaughter Mecca Joie Whitfield.
The event, which unfolded on a new episode of Real Housewives of Atlanta (RHOA), showcased not only Shereé’s flair for style but also her deep love and devotion to her family.
On Sunday, Shereé took to Instagram to express her excitement for the episode.
“One thing Shereé is going to do is bring out the people. Tonight is a very special episode of #RHOA! As a GlamMa I had to make sure my glam-baby @meccawhitfield_ made her grand entrance on the scene in style. Also, u will see a lot of familiar faces, so make sure to show them lots of luv . Lastly, I just want to thank everyone for coming out to celebrate my glam-baby. People came from near & far to be here…which means a lot to me ,” Sheree wrote on Instagram.
Mecca Joie Whitfield, born last July to Shereé’s son Kairo and his girlfriend Alina Baber, was undoubtedly the star of the show at the star-studded Sip & See event. Shereé, affectionately known as “GlamMa”, left no detail overlooked to ensure that her precious glam-baby made an unforgettable entrance into society.
“Becoming a new grandma, I just wanted that day to be so special,” Shereé tells PEOPLE. “I wanted it to be special for Mecca because her mom had some complications and wasn’t able to have a baby shower. I wanted this to be really special for the baby, but also for her because she missed that.”
And “special” it was, as Shereé’s creativity and attention to detail shone through in the décor choices that leaned toward the extravagant.
“I was thinking teddy bears and flowers and this big display you typically don’t see. I wanted to go above and beyond.”
The guest of honor not only adored her oversized teddy bears and pink-themed ambiance, but she also braved the gathering to meet some esteemed guests.
“I love the girls meeting Mecca because we all love each other. We may fight but in the end, we’re always super happy for each other and they all knew how excited and happy I was to become a grandma,” Shereé says.
