Madonna is grateful to her kids for providing the care she needed when she needed it the most. The legendary Pop artist took to Instagram on Sunday (Jul. 30) to celebrate her sons and daughters for taking care of her after being discharged from the hospital last month.
“Love from family and friends is the best Medicine,” Madonna told her social media fans. “One month out of the hospital and I can reflect,” the singer shared.
Madonna was admitted to the hospital last month after being found unresponsive. The singer was on her Celebration Tour at the time. Madonna was initially admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU).
“I’m on the road to recovery and incredibly grateful for all the blessings in my life,” the singer told her social media fans earlier this month. “My first thought when I woke up in the hospital was my children. My second thought was that I did not want to disappoint anyone who bought tickets for my tour,” Madonna shared.
“I also didn’t want to let down the people who worked tirelessly with me over the last few months to create my show,” the ‘Material Girl’ singer revealed. “I hate to disappoint anyone.”
Madonna’s Celebration Tour was postponed so she could fully recover. “As a Mother, you can really get caught up In the needs of your children and the seemingly endless giving,” the singer shared on Sunday.
“But when the chips were down my children really showed up for me,” Madonna shared. “I saw a side to them I had never seen before,” she added. “It made all the difference,” Madonna said. “So did the love and support from my friends.”
Madonna has two sons and four daughters. The singer’s youngest son, David Banda (pictured above), turns eighteen years old this year. New dates for Madonna’s North American tour spots will be released in the coming weeks.
