In the season finale of her hit Hulu series, The Kardashians, Kylie Jenner not only opened up to her best friend Anastasia “Stassie” Karanikolaou about her postpartum depression, she also admitted to the social media influencer and model that she’d be “heartbroken” if Stormi sought plastic surgery.
Reflecting on her own breast implant surgery at 19-years-old, the 25-year-old said, “Obviously, I have a daughter too. I’d be heartbroken if she wanted to get her body done at 19.”
The Kylie Cosmetics founder continued, “She’s the most beautiful thing ever. I want to be the best mom and best example for her, and like I wish I could be her, do it all differently. I wouldn’t touch anything.”
In a previous episode, 39-year-old Good American co-founder Khloe and 44-year-old mother of three, Kourtney, were talking about their own insecurities. Jenner told the pair that as a result of people talking about her ears, she developed her own insecurities.
“Isn’t that interesting, how you don’t realize how you guys always talked about my ears?” Jenner asked her sisters.
To which Khloe replied, “I talked about your ears because I loved them.”
“But I didn’t receive it like that,” the mother-of-two replied. “I received it like everyone’s making fun of my ears, calling them ‘dopey,’ and like that f—– me up. I never thought about my ears and then for five years, I never wore an up-do,” she confessed.
Jenner continued, “And then I had Stormi and she has my ears and it made me realize how much I love them. Because I’m like wow, if I’m insecure about my ears and I think my daughter is the most beautiful girl ever. Now I wear an updo to every carpet.”
According to the American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons (ASPS), in 2020, nearly 230,000 cosmetic surgeries and nearly 140,000 non-invasive cosmetic procedures were performed on teens ages 13-19. Procedures included: Botox injections, nose jobs and correction of ears, surgery for breasts, for either symmetry or augmentation. Additionally, teens received procedures to correct scarring as a result of acne or other injuries.
