Erica Campbell and Monica, accompanied by their daughters Krista Campbell and Laiyah Brown, made a memorable appearance at the 2023 ESSENCE Festival of Culture™ in New Orleans, Louisiana. Spanning from June 29 to July 3, 2023, the Essence Fest of 2023 is a vibrant celebration that brings together people of different backgrounds.
During the festival’s second day, Monica took the stage and delivered an incredible performance. Monica captivated the audience with hit songs like “Don’t Take It Personal (Just One of Dem Days),” “Angel of Mine,” and “So Gone,” among others. She concluded her set by paying homage to the vibrant city of New Orleans, all while her daughter Laiyah watched in awe.

Meanwhile, Erica Campbell graced the stage at The Get Lifted Stage, which has become a revered Sunday tradition at the festival, fostering spiritual communion through song, dance, and fellowship. During her performance, Erica called upon her daughter Krista, who was singing background, to join her in front of the stage. Krista moved the crowd with a heartfelt rendition of “Oh, how I love Jesus,” showcasing her undeniable talent.
