Madonna is reportedly recovering at home after being hospitalized in the ICU a bacterial infection. A family friend familiar with the situation provided an update regarding the celebrity mom’s health on Thursday (Jun. 29).
“She’s in the clear,” the insider revealed. The update was in sync with what Madonna’s longtime manager, Guy Oseary, shared on Instagram on Wednesday (Jun. 28).
According to Oseary, Madonna “developed a serious bacterial infection which led to a several day stay in the ICU.” The singer was reportedly taken to the hospital over the weekend after suffering with a bacterial infection for days. The legendary Pop singer allegedly struggled with a fever weeks before the symptoms of her infection increased. Guy Oseary, however, did not confirm such illness in the Instagram message.
“Her health is improving, however she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected,” Oseary shared with fans. Madonna’s manager further wrote, “At this time we need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour. We will share more details with you as soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and for rescheduled shows.”
Many fans were looking forward to Madonna’s Celebration Tour. The singer was slated to perform in London, Cologne, and Barcelona among other cities throughout the world. Madonna is not shy to bring her kids along when on tour. She recently delved into her life as a mom.
“What makes me happiest is seeing how each of them has discovered their own creativity, and that it comes from an authentic place,” Madonna said of her children following their passions.
“I have never encouraged my daughter Lola to make music or my son Rocco to paint — but I’ve always exposed them to art, to music, and I’m happy that they’ve found ways to express themselves,” the singer shared. “I have respect and admiration for them and for what they do.”
Lola and Rocco are Madonna’s adult kids. The singer has four younger children – David, Mercy, Estere, and Stelle – as well.
