Tia Mowry and Cory Hardrict have worked out the details of their divorce. The celebrity couple agreed on a few measures meant to help their kids better adapt to the changes.
Cory and Tia agreed to not introduce their children to potential new partners during the first few months of the courtship. According to legal documents obtained by PEOPLE,
“Absent agreement to the contrary, each party is restrained from introducing the minor children to a new romantic partner until that party has been in an exclusive relationship with the romantic partner for at least six months.
Each party is further restrained from permitting his or her new romantic partner from spending overnights when the minor children are with that custodial parent during the first six months of the exclusive relationship.
The parties agree that the restraints set forth in this paragraph are in the best interest of the children.”
Tia Mowry and Cory Hardrict decided to end their marriage of more than a decade last year. Tia took to Instagram to share the news with her social media fans. The actress later revealed the moment she knew her marriage was over.
“I knew when I really started to focus on my happiness,” Tia revealed during an interview with Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager of TODAY. “I feel like as women we tend to focus on everyone else’s happiness and making sure everyone else is okay,” the celebrity mom said.
“I had just lost my grandmother,” Tia said of when she decided to start focusing on her happiness. “We lost Alaina Housley – both of them at the same time,” the actress revealed.
“There was just an aha moment in me where I said, ‘You know what? You need to tap in and see what’s really going on with your happiness. Life is short. Let’s go.’”
Tapping into her happiness led Tia on a journey of self-love that ultimately ended with her decision to seek marriage dissolution. The actress will reportedly not pay alimony or child support to her ex-husband.
