Shemar Moore celebrated his first Father’s day on Sunday. The actor took to Instagram to express his gratitude and blessings as a first-time father.
“1st Father’s Day EVER… for me!!! BLESSED and GRATEFUL!! My father wasn’t in my life… I never celebrated Father’s Day… but i realize my mother and fathers love for each other once upon a time… that created me….I celebrated and honored MY MOTHER all day everyday my entire 50 years with her… my mother’s dream was to be a grandmother.. God called her name a little too soon… but My Girl Jesiree loves on me and gave me/us Momma Marilyn’s Dream and MY LIL MIRACLE… “Frankie Moore”… my daughter… My mother was my purpose….”
Moore welcomed daughter Frankie with his girlfriend Jesiree Dizon earlier this year.
He continued, “Now Frankie is my purpose for the rest of my life!!! With all that I have experienced and accomplished, My daughter is my GREATEST TRIUMPH!!! Momma Marilyn went to Heaven and told God to give her son the GREATEST GIFT of his life… FRANKIE n FAMILY!!! …… “Mom I made it”. I Love you Jesiree and THANK YOU!!! ”
Jesiree also expressed her love and appreciation for Moore in a post, wishing him a happy Father’s Day. She wrote, Daddy looks good on you. HAPPY FIRST FATHER’S DAY, STUD. We love and appreciate you more than you know.”
Shemar Moore previously revealed that fatherhood was not something he thought would be a part of his life, especially at the age of 53.
“I was worried for a while that it was a ‘that ship has sailed’ kind of thing but God had my back, and things lined up. It’s going to be the best part of… My life is already pretty grand, but I know whenever God does call my name, once I get this experience, I’ll be able to go to heaven whole,” he said while on the Jennifer Hudson show.
