Khloe Kardashian has been candid about her surrogacy journey with son, Tatum, stating that it has been truly difficult to bond with the child. However, on a recent episode of The Kardashians, the Good American co-founder stated that bonding with Tatum is getting easier.
The almost one-year-old was born via a surrogate in August of 2022. In a conversation with Scott Disick, on their hit Hulu reality show, Kardashian opened up and talked about her struggles to connect with Tatum, feeling guilty about using a surrogate to give birth to her second child.
“But a surrogate process—Kim [Kardashian] knows—is very hard for me. It’s a mindf#@k. It is really the weirdest thing,” she told Disick. “[I do feel less connected]. People do say it takes a minute to feel connected but Kim said hers was easy. This is not easy.”
Later on in the episode, Kardashian said that, she “… definitely buried my head in the sand during that pregnancy that I didn’t digest what was happening. So I think when I went to the hospital that was the first time it really registered. It has nothing to do with the baby.”
The reality star went on to say that the entire experience felt like a “transaction”.
Now, let’s fast-forward to a recent episode of The Kardashians. The 38-year-old mother of two opened up in the confessional saying that, “bonding with the baby has definitely gotten easier.” And that she is extremely proud of the bond that her eldest child, True, has formed with her brother.
“I love True’s relationship with him, and this is going to be hard,” she says of the trip as she had to leave the pair to attend sister Kim’s “Ciao Kim” collection event in Milan. “But travel Khloé is always fun. I’m just worried about having a good time and bringing good energy.”
Khloe is unquestionably showing that she is just like any mom, who doesn’t want to miss a moment with her children.
We hope that she continues to be transparent about her parenthood journey. Her candor is definitely an inspiration to many.
