Keke Palmer is living in a new era as the mother of a baby boy. The actress took to Instagram over Mother’s Day weekend to celebrate her role as a mom.
“New era,” Keke said regarding her life as a working mom. The actress was sure to share pictures of her with her son, Leodis Andrellton Jackson, on Instagram.
“Happy Mother’s Day,” wrote Palmer to her mom supporters. “These pics are incredible, mama,” Nicki Minaj wrote in response to the new candids. “You rlly rlly REALLY(sic) deserve this happiness,” the rapper continued. “Look @ (sic) this handsome lil munchkin.” Gabrielle Union said, “Mama Keke hits different (sic). Love you, lady.”
Keke Palmer and her boyfriend, Darius Jackson, welcomed their son in February. “Only 48hrs of being parents,” Keke shared in an Instagram post that announced her baby’s birth. “Born during Black History Month with a name to match,” wrote the actress.
Keke took to Instagram days after giving birth to praise single parents. “If you are a single parent, pull out your cape,” Keke shared. “As a matter of fact, clip off your angel’s wings because I don’t know how you do it,” Palmer continued.
“I know there’s a million and one reasons why someone has become a single parent,” Keke told her social media fans. “Maybe they lost somebody. Maybe they don’t want to deal with somebody. Maybe it’s a choice. But when it comes to raising a kid, I’ve already learned in these short few days that it takes a village. And sometimes that’s a privilege,” Palmer shared.
“I just want anybody out there who is a single parent that’s been doing this – friends of mine, people that I don’t know, family of mine – I’m really in my heart, it brings tears to my eyes,” Keke said. “I am just truly, profoundly impressed.”
