Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey are parents to Cannon‘s first two children, 12-year-old twins, Monroe and Moroccan. Although the pair called it quits in 2014, they have remained amicable when it comes to co-parenting their children. Cannon, in a recent podcast interview, revealed how his ex-wife feels about his other ten children.
The 42-year-old Wild ‘N Out host told Jason Lee on REVOLT’s The Jason Lee Show podcast that, Carey is “…high frequency, man. She always asks me, ‘You aight? You good? How you doing? You handling it all?’
Cannon added, “She’s like, as long as you don’t bring none of that bulls—t to the Manor of Carey. Like, she lives in her own world, nothing can infiltrate that stuff. When we talk daily, she’s just checking on my spirit.”
A source told US Weekly that Carey is not involved in and doesn’t keep up with the lives of Cannon’s other children.
“Mariah doesn’t keep up with Nick’s babies and baby mamas,” the source said in September 2022. “There’s too many to keep up with! She’s happy for him and wishes him the best.”
Cannon’s 12 children, mothered by six women, include:
- Twelve-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with Mariah Carey
- Six-year-old Golden, two-year-old Powerful Queen, and seven-month-old Rise with Brittany Bell
- Twenty-two-month-old twins Zion and Zillion, and 5-month-old Beautiful Zeppelin with Abby De La Rosa
- Nine-month-old Legendary Love with Bre Tiesi
- Seven-month-old Onyx Ice with LaNisha Cole
- Four-month-old Halo Marie with Alyssa Scott. Cannon and Scott also had a son, Zen, who died of a brain tumor five months after he was born.
In his podcast interview, Cannon admits to not paying child support dictated by the “government,” but he said that he does take care of his children.
“They can have whatever they want,” the Drumline actor said. “My account is they account — and there’s a lot in there. So we ain’t gonna run out!”
Per a recent interview with the Los Angeles Times, Cannon stated that he makes $100 million per year.
