Actor and singer Tyrese Gibson was recently ordered by a judge in Fulton County court to pay a substantial sum of money in back child support and attorney fees to his ex-wife, Samantha Lee Gibson. This decision came after Tyrese had refused to pay the $10,000/month he was ordered to pay in child support last August, claiming that the judge was biased against him.
During the hearing, Tyrese argued that the $10,000/month was excessive, considering that Samantha made good money on her own. However, the judge held him in contempt of court for failing to pay what he had been ordered to pay and could have even had him arrested.
Instead, the judge ordered Tyrese to pay a whopping $237,944 in back child support for their daughter Soraya, $399,000 for Samantha’s attorney fees, and a $17,000 bill for the special master appointed by the judge to handle minor disputes during the case.
Earlier this week, Tyrese made a shocking allegation against the judge in his ongoing child support case. He claimed that the judge had called his ex-wife a derogatory name during a court hearing.
Tyrese took to social media to share with his fans, calling for a protest at the courthouse and asking bloggers, press, and media in Atlanta to file a motion to be present in the courtroom with their cameras on. He even called on civil rights attorney Ben Crump and Martin Luther King III to support him in his fight against the judge, but neither of them showed up in court.
He began, “WE HAVE A RACIST JUDGE IN ATLANTA WHO CALLED MY EX WIFE AND THE MOTHER OF MY CHILD A B%$CH…. We tried to get him thrown off the bench…. They kept him on and not only THAT??”
Adding, “They just put him BACK ON MY CASE….. meet me at the courthouse at 8:30am FATHERS for a PRAYER!!!!!!!! Please tag all BLOGGERS, PRESS AND MEDIA in Atlanta you guys need to file a RULE 22 motion to be in the actual courtroom with your cameras on IG, FB LIVE and or the media in itself…”
Now, Tyrese faces the hefty payments ordered by the judge, who had publicly criticized him for not following through with his obligations.
