Keisha Knight Pulliam is working from home these days. The Hillsdale Adoption Scam star recently gave Tamron Hall an update on her pregnancy by virtual means.
“I’m feeling pretty good,” Keshia said via Skype. “I’m at that place where I’m just like, ‘You know what? I don’t want to wear pants. I don’t want to have to go anywhere.’ But I’m excited. I’m just grateful, really.”
Keshia is a leading character in The Hillsdale Adoption Scam. The film, which debuts on Lifetime this Saturday (Mar. 18), is based on true events and gets to the heart of infertility and the measures some couples take to have a child.
“I understood the journey that they were on,” Keshia said of getting into her role. “I understood the emotions that come when you are trying to get pregnant and you’re having difficulty. We had literally just gone through that exact same journey,” the actress shared.
Keshia Knight Pulliam and her husband, Brad James, announced their expectancy of a child last December. The couple wed in 2021.
“I understood the getting poked and prodded, [and] coming to this space where you’re like, ‘I desperately want to expand my family. But I don’t know if I have any more left in me,’” Keshia said when explaining to Tamron Hall how she used her and Brad’s experience with fertility struggles to portray her role in The Hillsdale Adoption Scam. “So I think it’s something that so many people can relate to when they watch [the movie],” said the actress.
Keshia has been able to relate to the challenges that come with wanting to start a family as well as the triumphs of the journey. It was just a few days ago that the actress revealed the gender of her unborn child to be a boy.
“I have been [resting],” Keshia shared when asked about her pregnancy journey. “I’ve honestly been doing my best,” she added. “My doctor made it easy. She kind of shut me down in terms of flying a couple of weeks ago,” Keshia revealed.
“The flying/not flying has really made it a lot easier,” the actress shared during her recent segment on the Tamron Hall Show. “My body wasn’t really enjoying all of the back and forth in the travel.”
Keshia Knight Pulliam and Brad James are expecting their son to arrive in the coming weeks. The little one will join Keshia’s daughter, Ella Grace, at home.
