Omarion and Apryl Jones celebrated their daughter A’mei’s seventh birthday earlier this week with family, friends, and lots of food. Jones shared pictures from the birthday bash her daughter enjoyed.

“Happy birthday to my princess A’mei,” Apryl wrote to her daughter. “The sweetest little soul,” the celebrity mom doted. “You’re 7… my goodness where has the time gone,” Apryl asked. “You will forever be mommy’s little girl! Love you to the moon and back mamas!”
Omarion also took to Instagram with birthday wishes for his daughter. “My baby is 7 on the 7th,” the celebrity father told his social media fans. “#Amei #Dadgirl solar return,” Omarion added.
A’mei is one of two children Apryl Jones and Omarion have together. It was during a 2020 interview with Voyage LA that Apryl explained the meaning behind her daughter’s name.
“My daughter’s name is A for Apryl and Mei for my mother’s name Mei-hsiang and it means A’mei=beautiful and la vie in french means life,” Jones shared with the publication. The entrepreneur was so inspired by the notion of crafting a beautiful life for her children that Apryl named her wine brand A’mei La Vie, which is also after her daughter.
“I was presented with a great opportunity to start my own wine by branding with a winery in Temecula, CA,” Jones told Voyage LA. “I came up with the name A’mei La Vie because while being in such a terrible space [following the breakup with Omarion], I just told myself all I want is a beautiful life,” the businesswoman said.
Both Omarion and Apryl Jones are still navigating the path of co-parenting. In fact, Omarion recently broke his silence about working with the mother of his children during an exclusive interview with The Shade Room.
“We’re still in a transformative state,” Omarion said of his and Apryl’s relationship as parents. “Like I said, I’m the type of person who likes to leave room for some new ideas, some different methods,” the celebrity father told the press. “I’m all for that,” he added. “But we are in a transformative state right now.”

A’mei’s seventh birthday was on March 7, 2023. Her older brother, Mega, celebrates his ninth birthday this summer.
