Da Brat is moving along in her pregnancy. The expectant star took to Instagram with an update on her journey this past Wednesday (Mar. 8).
“Hope yawl had a blessed day,” the entertainer told her social media fans. “This journey gets more exciting by the day,” Da Brat said of her pregnancy.
The world learned Da Brat and her wife, Jesseca Judy Dupart, would welcome a child last month. “I never thought I was going to have kids,” the expectant star shared. “I just thought it wasn’t in the cards for me,” Da Brat added. “I’ve had a great career, a full life,” the entertainer said. “I felt like, because I didn’t get pregnant earlier on, then it just wasn’t going to happen for me.”
Pregnancy came to Da Brat with help from Hope Fertility. The entertainer and her wife endured the pain of miscarriage before their current expectancy came to them.
“I had never been so excited about something that I didn’t even know I wanted,” Da Brat shared when discussing her miscarriage with PEOPLE. “I fell in love with the idea and then it was all snatched away from me,” the artist added.
From pain came joy as Da Brat and Jesseca learned they would welcome a child later this year. “We are eighteen weeks, which is five months,” Judy shared during a recent interview with Sherri Shepherd.
“Having a baby inside of you, and having a human come out of you, is just an experience that’s not even explainable,” Da Brat’s wife continued. “I don’t want us to go through this life and her not be able to experience that,” Dupart told Shepherd.
Da Brat will be a mother for the first time this summer. The little one will make Jesseca Judy Dupart a mom of four kids.
