Nick Cannon does not know when he will stop having kids. The entertainer recently sat down with Entertainment Tonight (ET) to discuss parenthood and how he thrives as a father of twelve children.
“God decides when we’re done, but I believe I definitely got my hands full,” Nick shared with the media outlet. “And I’m so focused. I’m locked in,” he added. “But when I’m 85, you never know. I might.”
Nick Cannon welcomed his and Alyssa Scott’s second child, Halo, last December. The little one made him a father for the twelfth time.
“Everybody thinks it’s time management. It’s energy management,” Cannon said of his ability to be an active parent in the lives of all of his children. “Once we’re all aligned, the flow is a lot easier,” he continued regarding his co-parenting philosophy. “If there’s any kind of low frequencies or dissension in there, that’s what messes up the scheduling.”
Nick went on to share how the mothers of his children help him maintain good scheduling practices. “As long as we’re all on the same page and we all got the same goal — to be the best parents we could possibly be — that works and then the scheduling is the scheduling,” he shared.
Scrutinizing Nick Cannon for cultivating a blended family is a lifestyle for some. The celebrity father, however, remains committed to his kids.
“Hopefully, because of what I am able to do, my kids can do whatever they want to do, to be able to be in a position that if they want to be a nuclear physicist, I know somebody at an Ivy League school that I could [hit up],” he shared with ET.
“If they want to go into the military, if they want to be artists if they want to be actors, it’s a thing where we have the capability,” Cannon added. “Let’s start talking about it now so we can help your dreams come true.”
