Me’arah “Meezy” O’Neal says that as the daughter of famed former Los Angeles Laker, Shaquille O’Neal, she’s “no special kid,” letting her talent itself speak for itself on the basketball court.

The youngest of the O’Neal children made the move from Los Angeles, CA to Houston, TX to focus solely on basketball, and of course, has dominated the courts at the high school level, standing a towering 6’4″.
Me’arah a.k.a Meezy is the queen of every angle on the court and can shoot 3’s like a champ. It is evident that Meezy has inherited the gift of athleticism from her father; however, she has made one thing very clear, to not only her classmates, but to the world about growing up as Big Diesel’s daughter
“It was definitely good; it was definitely something special,” she said in a recent interview. The 16-year-old continued, “I learned not to hide it and just embrace it, and to make sure that everybody knows that I am just like that, I am no special kid or nothing it is just me.”
Of course, with her talent on the court and hailing from one of Houston’s most prestigious private schools, it is no wonder that Meezy is slated to play college baskeball in 2024. The offers have already started rolling in! It doesn’t come as a surprise that this talented young rising star has already received an offer from the prestigious UCLA Women’s basketball program.
As mentioned, Meezy is the youngest of Shaq’s children. Shaquille O’Neal is father to six children. It comes a no surprise that four of the six are following in their father’s footsteps.
Eldest son Shareef O’Neal currently plays for the Lakers’ G-League affiliate. Youngest son, Shaqir O’Neal, plays basketball for Texas Southern University. Daugher Amirah O’Neal, like her brother, is also playing basketball for Texas Southern University.
