Apryl Jones and Omarion’s son, Megaa Grandberry, channeled a younger Jaden Smith for his recent school presentation. The eight-year-old had the support of his parents as he performed one of Jaden’s hits “Icon Living” in front of his classmates.
Apryl and Omarion took to their respective Instagram pages on Friday to share just how proud they were of their son’s performance.
Omarion wrote, “My [son]!!! He’s so cool Yeahhh he’s a natural. Today he had a unit share at school. He chose to discuss @c.syresmith ~ Megaa spoke about Jaden’s first movie that he film with his father at just 7yrs old. Of course the karate kid with Jackie Chan and all of the awards he’s already received for being outstanding.”
He continued, “He spoke about Jaden’s “Just water” & also his “I love you” vegan restaurant to help support the homeless. Im so happy that Megaa is wise enough as a child to know who’s got the drip. Lol. Megaa’s favorite part of his unit share was Jaden’s music. They just some ICONS livin!!. P.S I’m the dad and the sound man. Go Megaa. Your parents are proud.”
Apryl also posted a video of Megaa’s performance on Instagram, saying, “Megaa number one is growing up so fast!!! Number 2 he had to do a presentation on Jaden Smith for school. The other kids from the school had to come look at everyone’s work, but what they got from him was a very special performance!”
Adding, “Needless to say we are very proud of our son! Megaa is such a star! Love that kid. These are the moments of parenthood that just make your heart Melt! Ugh!!!!! Enjoy your kids while you can!”
Apryl and Omarion dated for four years before calling it quits in 2016. “The beautiful and talented mother of my children for whom I hold the highest regard and respect, Apryl Jones, and I have mutually decided to end our relationship,” Omarion shared on Instagram at the time.
