Shemar Moore is officially part of the dad club!
The 52-year-old actor and his girlfriend Jesiree Dizon have welcomed a baby girl, Moore announced on his Instagram earlier today.
“Ya boy is officially a Dad!!! Dreams come true!! The rest of my life is here!”
He later shared a picture of the newborn with the caption, “FRANKIE MOORE!!!! BABY GIRL in da building!!! Born January 24… at 3:38pm…. 7.1 Pounds… 20 inches…. 10 fingers n 10 toes… Already THE LOVE OF MY LIFE!! I’m a Girl Daddy!!!!”
Earlier this month, Shemar and Jesiree announced to the world that they were expecting. During an appearance on the Jennifer Hudson show, the first-time dad shared how excited he was to become a father.
“I’m Shemar Moore, 52½ years old. My mother is in heaven, right now it’ll be the three-year anniversary on February 8,” he said. “And on February 8, I’m going to make one of her dreams come true because, in real life, Shemar Moore is about to be a daddy.”
Adding, “I’m so excited. I’m sorry [my mom] can’t be here. I was worried for a while that it was a ‘that ship has sailed’ kind of thing but God had my back, and things lined up. It’s going to be the best part of… My life is already pretty grand, but I know whenever God does call my name, once I get this experience, I’ll be able to go to heaven whole.”
This is the first child for Moore. Dizon already shares a 5-year-old daughter Charli with actor Stephen Bishop and also has a son, Kaiden, from a previous relationship.
Shemar Moore is best known for his roles as Malcolm Winters on The Young and the Restless (1994–2005), Derek Morgan on Criminal Minds (2005–2016), and the lead role of Sergeant II Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson on S.W.A.T. (2017–present) all on CBS.
