NICK CANNON FEELS GUILTY ABOUT NOT SPENDING ENOUGH TIME WITH KIDS

Among busy working parents, many feel guilt about not being able to spend enough time with their children. Well, that sentiment holds true for celebrities, including Nick Cannon. Recently, the father of 11 stated that he feels guilty about not spending enough time with his kids.

“Being a father of multiple kids, it’s always the biggest guilt on me is that I don’t get to spend enough time with all my children,” Cannon said during an episode of Paramount+’s The Checkup with Dr. David Agus. “One ’cause I’m constantly working and two because I’m just spread thin,” he continued.

Additionally, Cannon is expecting baby number 12 with Alyssa Scott, who is also mother to his son Zen. If you remember, five-month-old Zen passed away a year ago, December 7, 2021, from a rare form of brain cancer.

A few days before the anniversary of Zen’s death, the Wild ‘N Out host posted a truly touching memorial to his son.

“Physically I’m definitely on the mend but Mentally and Spiritually I’m broken. Been tossing and turning all night, and as much as I know I need rest, last night I couldn’t sleep at all. I can’t believe it’s been a year already since the toughest day of my life occurred. Such a painful anniversary. Losing a child has to be the heaviest, most dark and depressive experiences that I will never get over. A mixture of guilt, pain, and sorrow is what I suppress daily. I am far from perfect and often fall short and make decisions in my life that many question, but anyone who knows me knows my heart.”

Cannon ended the touching tribute, “Continue to Peacefully Rest My Son, Zen Scott Cannon. We Love you Eternally.”

Although Cannon states that he is “spread thin,” it does seem like he is doing his best to make memories with all of his children when he can, and that is the best that any parent can do.
