"Bobby Brown Is Loved"

It was a family affair this past weekend as Bobby Brown attended the Fifth Annual TV One Urban Honors. The ceremony was held at The Eastern in Atlanta, Georgia, where Brown was honored for his contributions to the music industry.

Bobby matched his younger daughters, Bodhi and Hendrix, in attire with a red jacket made of velvet material. The legendary recording artist’s youngest son, Cassius, wore a purple suit to the event. Bobby’s older daughter, La’Princia, and the entertainer’s wife, Alicia Etheredge, went for silver and gold.

“Bobby Brown is loved,” one fan said after seeing an Instagram post in which Alicia celebrated the night. “I hope he knows it and I’m so happy he’s winning in life, love, and career,” the supporter continued. “Continued blessings to you all!” Another of Bobby Brown’s fans said, “Love Bobby Brown [and] his music. [I’m] also glad he’s going strong after all he’s been through.”

Bobby Brown has endured many challenges throughout his career and life. The recording artist lost his son, Bobby Brown Jr., to an accidental overdose in 2020. Bobby Jr.’s death came five years after Bobby lost his daughter, Bobbi Kristina, to domestic violence.

“God put me here to experience many different things in my life,” Bobby shared with Billboard during an interview earlier this year. “I’m just glad that he’s given me a second chance to be able to make up for the mistakes that I’ve made,” Brown added. “I don’t regret having to go through those situations because I wouldn’t be the man that I am today if I didn’t go through those situations,” the recording artist said.

Some have wondered what keeps Bobby Brown moving forward after his experiences with loss and public scandal. “God,” the singer shared with the press earlier this year. “That’s who holds me down,” Brown added.

“My belief in the Almighty, prayers and my family are what keep me going,” Bobby told the press. “I’m speaking from the heart,” he continued. This is my truth.”

The Fifth Annual TV One Urban Honors airs on Monday, January 16, 2023.
