Kanye West must pay Kim Kardashian $200K per month in child support for their four kids. The terms of custody and financial support were laid out during the finalization of the former couple’s divorce.
According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE,
“The former couple will have joint physical and legal custody of their four children.
The Grammy winner will be required to pay Kardashian $200,000 a month in child support. He will also be responsible for half of the children’s medical, educational, and security expenses.
Both Kardashian and West waived spousal support.”
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were married for seven years before she filed to divorce him last year. Kim’s decision to seek marriage dissolution came after Kanye’s 2020 presidential run during which he revealed personal information about their family.
Kanye West was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2017. The rapper has decided to take alternative means to treat the condition instead of taking medication.
Kim and her family have addressed several recent outbursts from Kanye in which he publicly scrutinized his ex-wife’s parenting practices. Kim’s sister, Khloè Kardashian, took to Instagram a few weeks ago to criticize Kanye for airing out what should be private matters online.
“Ye, I love you. I don’t want to do this on social media but YOU keep bringing it here,” Khloè told her former brother-in-law. “You are the father of my nieces and nephews and I’m trying to be respectful but please STOP tearing Kimberly down and using our family when you want to deflect,” Kardashian requested.
“Enough already,” Khloè declared. “We all know the truth and in my opinion, everyone’s tired of it,” she continued. “You know exactly where your children are at all times.”
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have two daughters, North and Chicago, along with two sons, Saint and Psalm. North is the former couple’s oldest child.
