Halloween, unfortunately this year, falls on a Monday, kicking-off the beginning of the week. Because of this, many families will be celebrating the spooky holiday over the weekend. To help with the ghoulish antics this year, here are six fun Halloween activities the entire family will enjoy doing inside or outside of the house according to Country Living.
Whether you have a little one or big kids, this list has something for everyone!
1. Visit a Pumpkin Patch.
Visiting a Pumpkin patch can be hours of fun for the entire family. And of course, the best part is to bring a few home, carve them up, sit them out for trick-or-treaters to enjoy. Want some ideas on carving? We have got you covered.
2. Scope out the Halloween decorations around town.
Some neighborhoods go all out with their Halloween decorations just like Christmas. Gather everyone in the car and plan to scope out the scariest displays in town. Vote on which house gets the win.
3. Scary Story Night
Get together, make some creepy snacks and have a scary story night. This can be fun and educational all in one. Scary story night encourages kids to be creative and use their imaginations. Not to mention, this is a great way to do some family bonding. Don’t forget to turn out the lights and grab those flashlights!
4. Tour a Haunted House.
This may be good for the older kids and adults in the family. There are plenty of haunted places in every state. Find frightful front door and walk through it.
5. Create some DIY Halloween Costumes
Store bought costumes are great, but a way to get the entire family involved in the fun is to create your own at home. Head to the back of the closet, and go wild. Want some ideas? We got you covered here as well.
6. Last but not least…Go Trick-or-Treating
This one goes without saying. If you can go out and trick-or-treat, then do so!
May your Halloween be full of treats and definitely no tricks!
