Jesse Williams was successful in his latest custody battle with his ex, Aryn Drake-Lee. The actor’s former spouse recently took to Instagram to share the results of her say in court.
“A salute to the ancestors and all spirits who walk with me and mine,” Aryn shared with her supporters. “It turns out the court does think it’s good for children to regularly fly on overnight flights to accommodate a parent who won’t do the same for them. Who knew,” Drake-Lee asked.
Aryn Drake-Lee took to social media last month to give insight into her co-parenting relationship with Jesse Williams. “Is it good for the health and wellness of a 7yr and 8yr old to be taken out of school on a regular basis to fly cross country overnight on a red eye to be on the ground for two days,” Aryn asked her fans. “Is it reasonable for them to return dazed and confused and then be expected to pick right up and survive at school the rest of the week,” she continued. “I don’t think so,” Drake-Lee declared.
Jesse Williams’ ex-wife filed documents with the court in hopes of ultimately bringing more structure to the lives of their kids. A judge, however, agreed with Jesse’s position in the end.
“Those of us who walk this path know what it is and know what we need to do to protect ourselves and our babes to the best of our ability,” Aryn Drake-Lee said after her court appearance. “Every day we show up and do what’s needed despite the circumstances,” she added. “I know I journey this road with my head held high and my integrity intact,” Aryn told her supporters.
“Let’s see how long it takes for the usual suspects to leak targeted language and storylines painting a particular party as the victim. I’m headed to yoga in a few to sweat off the muck.”
Aryn Drake-Lee and Jesse Williams have a son, Maceo, and a daughter named Sadie. The two were married for nearly ten years before they decided to separate and divorce one another.
