Lauren London and son Kameron Carter attended the Puma fashion show during September 2022 New York Fashion Week.
Puma brought a fresh take on athletic fashion during New York Fashion Week (NYFW). Under the direction of June Ambrose, the brand delivered its PUMA FUTROGRADE show, which featured models such as Winnie Harlow alongside athletes like Usain Bolt.
The PUMA FUTROGRADE show was held downtown at Cipriani last week. The presentation had a traditional runway for its models with theatrical dancers who modeled Puma’s new 3-D Nitro NFRNO and Nitro Fastroid sneakers. The shoes are a new design for Puma as well as the brand’s entry into the metaverse. Dapper Dan and Palama were two of many to collaborate with Puma for its show during NYFW.
In many ways, the PUMA FUTROGRADE show was an invitation for attendees to step into the future of sports fashion. Lauren London has been moving towards a new life herself three years after her boyfriend, Nipsey Hussle, was murdered. The actress recently stopped by Jay Shetty’s podcast, On Purpose, where she discussed how she has coped since that tragic day in 2019.
“When you have this plan for your life, as you should, if or when that gets derailed, and you have plan B now to go off that you didn’t plan on, it is the ultimate test of surrender,” London shared with Shetty. “Because at the end of the day, as much control as we think we have, we do not,” she continued.
“It’s actually very powerful to surrender — we think that it’s a weakness, but it’s so much power in letting go and flowing with the river because life is going to do what it’s going to do,” Lauren shared. “We are all going to get chin-checked life one way or another — so I might as well focus on my enlightenment and roll with the river and not fight with the rocks.”
Nipsey Hussle was murdered outside his clothing store in South Los Angeles on March 31, 2019. He left behind his son with Lauren London as well as his daughter from a previous relationship. Lauren London has two kids, Kross Ermias Asghedom and Kameron Samuel Ari, in all.
