Zaya Wade continues to build her modeling skills. The latest product Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade’s daughter put on display is by Tiffany and Co.

“Dreams become reality,” Zaya said of her opportunity to model the piece to her Instagram fans on Saturday (Sep. 17). “You are beautiful,” Holly Robinson Peete wrote in response to the pictures the teen shared. Zaya was photographed while rocking straightened hair and a dark blue top. “Gorgeous,” Candace Parker agreed.
Many view Zaya’s boldness to be her authentic self as inspirational. It was during a recent interview that the teen shared how she responds to negative comments online.
“As a trans person, once I came out, there was a lot of hateful comments about how I should grow my hair out long or fit into a certain version of femininity, even though that’s not true at all,” Zaya said. “That kind of advice is just trying to break you, but don’t let it,” she advised her supporters.
“I don’t have to believe everything they say,” Zaya told the press. “The only thing I have to believe is what I feel and what beauty means to me,” the teen continued. “I think focusing on inner beauty is the most important.”
In many ways, Zaya Wade has learned how to tune into the beauty that is within from her stepmom, Gabrielle Union. “There are a billion ways to exist because there are billions of people and each person has the ability to decide for themselves how they want to exist in the world and how they want to move through the world,” Union shared during a recent interview. “We talk to [Zaya] about resisting anti-Blackness and not centering Eurocentric beauty ideals,” the actress revealed.
Zaya is one of four children Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union parent together.
