Congratulations are in order for seventeen-year-old actor Marlon Kazadi. The teen is set and ready to star in the upcoming feature film, Zombie Town.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Zombie Town is a “mystery teen romancer” that is an adaptation of the RL Stine book by the same name.

A quiet town is upended when young Mike and his friend Amy watch a horror movie called Zombie Town and unexpectedly see the title characters leap off the screen and chase them through the theater.
Kazadi will share the big screen with TikTok sensation turned actress, Madi Monroe. This marks the first time onscreen for Monroe as she portrays Kazadi’s friend, Amy.
John Gillespie, Trimuse Entertainment founder and executive producer, shared his excitement about the project in a statement.
“We are delighted to bring the pages of R.L. Stine’s Zombie Town to the screen and equally thrilled to be working with such an exceptional cast and crew on this production. A three-time Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award winner with book sales of over $500 million, R.L. Stine has a phenomenal track record of crafting stories that engage and entertain audiences.”
Peter Lepeniotis will direct the upcoming project. Trimuse Entertainment, Toonz Media Group, Lookout Entertainment, Viva Pictures and actress Kim Coates will executive produce.
If Kazadi’s face looks familiar, it should. The talented young actor has a resume that even seasoned veterans would envy. According to IMDb, his outstanding credits include: The Whispers, Christmas in Evergreen: Letters to Santa, Supergirl, Child’s Play, Christmas in Evergreen: Tidings of Joy, Chained, Christmas in Evergreen: Bells Are Ringing, Riverdale, and Ghostbusters: Afterlife.
Kazadi received one industry award win and two nominations for his work in Chained.
Zombie Town is slated to release in U.S. theaters before streaming on Hulu, then on ABC Australia in 2023.
