Chance the Rapper took his daughters, Kensli and Marli Grace, to Chance & Bri’s Books & Breakfast event in Chicago, Illinois, earlier this week. The recording artist shared pictures from the outing with his social media fans.
There was an abundance of activities at the event, which included games one would see on the playground at an elementary school. The books available to children were also overflowing as many authors contributed to the local event. “Thank you to all the families who came out in the rain to read with us at Kennicott Park,” Chance the Rapper said after the community outing. “The rain couldn’t stop us from having another beautiful morning with Chicago’s youngest learners and their families,” the celebrity father exclaimed.
Chance the Rapper promoted Chance & Bri’s Books & Breakfast in a big way this year. The recording artist made it clear, though, that he would be the first to attend the event. “Chicago, I would never tell you to bring your kids somewhere that I don’t trust to bring my own kids,” Chance told his social media fans. Dozens who attended the event alongside the rapper commented on how much they enjoyed the gathering.
“We enjoyed,” one social media follower said. “Thank you to you and Bri!! #ChiLove my babies enjoyed!” Another attendee wrote, “Beautiful place to bring your kids. May God bless them all fully and completely.”
Chance & Bri’s Books & Breakfast was created with the notion of “filling tummies” and “feeding minds” at the center. The program follows in the path established by the Black Panthers during the 1970s, which fed thousands of children across the country by giving free groceries to those in need.
Chance & Bri’s Books & Breakfast is made possible by a partnership that includes Chance the Rapper, Boundless Early Education, and the Chicago Park District. Learn more about the program here!
