Kimora Lee Simmons and her daughter, Ming and Aoki, are teaming up with Puma to take their company, Baby Phat, to the next level. The fashion mogul took to Instagram on Tuesday (Aug. 9) to announce the partnership.
“Start your engines! Baby Phat x Puma is coming soon and we can’t wait for you to see it,” Kimora Lee Simmons told her social media fans. The celebrity mom also uploaded a candid of her and her daughters advertising the latest styles Baby Phat has to offer.
The PUMA x Baby Phat collection hits stores on August 17, 2022. Fans did not hold their applause for the partnership, though. “Can’t wait,” one social media follower declared. “Come on Kimora,” another social media follower shared. “You betta (sic) come through babe,” the supporter exclaimed. “‘Cause I know you gone (sic) [give] us something to fest (sic) on! Congrats dear.”
Kimora Lee Simmons and her daughters announced their decision to take over the reins of Baby Phat a few months back. The decision was especially significant for those who remember Kimora as the driving force behind the brand’s success at the turn of the century. Ming and Aoki are the brains behind the resurrected version of Baby Phat.
“This is the retro brand that’s reborn looking through the eyes of young people like Ming and Aoki,” Kimora Lee Simmons shared during a recent interview. “My girls have been working with me and going to school – and that’s tough,” Kimora continued. “It can be tough, but it’s exciting that we’re pushing that needle forward.”
Pushing the needle forward includes business deals and partnerships such as with Puma. Pieces from the PUMA x Baby Phat collection will be available online and in select Foot Locker and Champs stores. Prices for the styles range from $25 to just over $100 per item.
