Tracy Morgan has a new show called Sharks! with Tracy Morgan that made its debut on Discovery this week as part of the network’s “Shark Week.” The celebrity father’s daughter, Maven, serves as co-host of his show.
Sharks! with Tracy Morgan is an educational series meant to inform viewers about the world of sharks. There is more to the sea creatures than what meets the eye. Sharks come in various forms and sizes, and they respond to certain activities in the water. Humans who splash around in the water are more likely to get attention from sharks than those who remain still in the ocean. Sharks are not the blood-thirsty creatures they have been portrayed as in show business. They are intelligent beings who can adapt to various conditions for survival.
“I love all sea creatures, but sharks are my most (sic) favorite,” Tracy Morgan says in a promotional video for the show. “So take a seat,” the comedian advises his viewers. “Tracy Morgan is going to teach you everything you need to know about sharks.”
Tracy Morgan has loads of help with discussing sharks thanks to his daughter, Maven, who serves as the perfect co-host for the show. Maven knows a lot about sharks and isn’t afraid to dismantle the rumors about them. Her boldness is on full display in the promo clips. “You had me at Long John Silvers,” one social media follower shared in reference to their excitement about Tracy Morgan’s new show. “Go Maven,” another fan shared. “Teach!”
Maven is doing more than teaching these days. The youngster did her own stand-up set at Radio City Music Hall a few months back. “Tracy got a huge ovation,” one insider said of Maven’s performance. “Tracy was with his 8-year-old daughter, Maven, who asked to come up at the end to tell a few jokes to the crowd,” the fan continued. “Maven picked up the mic and — just like her dad — ripped off some jokes and told a funny story! The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.”
Maven is Tracy Morgan’s daughter with his ex-wife, Megan Wollover. Tracy has four kids in all.
