Children undoubtedly have a blast pulling pranks on their parents. Sometimes, the pranks are not so realistic and other times, the “gotcha factor” is over the top. Recently, North West pulled a prank that was one for the record books as her gory prank on Kim Kardashian was mistaken for a real “murder scene”.
During a new interview with Allure Magazine, the SKIMS founder talked about a recent incident with her nine-year-old daughter North involving her impressive affinity for special effects makeup.
“North is really into special effects makeup, and she’s really good at it. I have a teacher come and show her special effects makeup — where it’s like wounds and blood and tons of stuff. And she decided not only to prank me and do [the makeup] it on her and Chicago, but she made the whole room look like a murder scene,” Kardashian recalled in the interview.
She continued, “I cleaned up the kids, but I was really too tired to clean up the whole room. And they were going to have to do that and they had to get ready to go to bed for school.”
Just when you think that that is the end of the story…there’s more..the clincher-the murder scene.
“The housekeeper came and tried to call the authorities and called the homeowner, [Kardashian had rented a vacation home], thinking that it was a full, real murder scene and I had to let them know that it was completely just a prank and my kids were doing special effects makeup,” the 41-year-old reality star continued. “It was bad.”
North wanted to include her friends on her spooky fun. So, for her recent birthday celebrations, she gave them ghoulish tutorials.
Kardashian shared the details of North’s party guest’s makeovers on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
“She wanted to teach her girlfriends,” Kardashian told Fallon. “We took about eight kids, eight girls, and we went camping in the wilderness.”
“She wanted it to be really spooky,” the SKKN founder said. “She wanted mannequin heads, and there was a whole class. She taught her friends how to do special effects, wounds and scars.”
Could becoming a special effects artist be in North West’s future? We will just have to stay tuned, but it looks like she is well on the way to becoming one of the best.
