A FAMILY AFFAIR: EDDIE MURPHY’S DAUGHTER, BRIA MURPHY, MARRIES MICHAEL XAVIER

"All Grown Up"

It was a Murphy family affair as Eddie Murphy’s daughter, Bria Murphy, married her fiance, Michael Xavier, on Saturday (Jul. 10) in Beverly Hills, California. All members of the family, including little Evie Isla Murphy, participated in the ceremony.

Evie got the spotlight from her grandma, Nikki Murphy, as she wore a white dress that was nothing short of elegant. The little one gave the perfect expression for a picture behind-the-scenes of the wedding ceremony. “What a doll,” one social media fan declared. “Beautiful.”

Bria Murphy, the woman of the hour, glowed as she posed for pictures with her parents and other members of the family. “So full of love and happiness,” Nikki Murphy said of her daughter. “Absolutely beautiful,” Pat Smith said. “Your daughter captures nothing but beauty she gets from you,” another social media follower wrote in response to Bria’s wedding photos shared online by Nikki.

It was last December that Bria and Michael Xavier went public with their plans to marry each other. Eddie Murphy’s daughter took to Instagram with photos of her with her then-fiance. “I can’t wait to marry you,” Bria wrote to Michael at the time. She also shared pictures that captured her showing off her engagement ring while leaning on her soon-to-be husband. “Wow,” one fan said of Bria’s engagement announcement. “All grown up.”

Bria and her siblings make their father proud. It was just last year that Eddie Murphy doted on his kids during an interview with Marc Maron of WTF podcast.

“I have all these babies,” Eddie shared. “I love fatherhood,” he beamed. “The whole idea of being out there and doing three movies a year, that s— is over,” Murphy declared. “I found over and over again and along the way I realized that if you put your children first you never make a bad decision,” he continued.

“I am so blessed with my kids,” Eddie told Marc. “I don’t have one bad seed,” he added. “I don’t have any like, ‘Oh you are the one.’ I don’t have any of that. My kids are so great, normal people — and nobody is like the Hollywood jerk kid. My kids are smart and are trying to do stuff. I am blessed with my kids. I really, really got lucky.”

Eddie Murphy fathers 10 kids in all.
