Nicki Minaj is not pregnant; or is she? The ‘Anaconda’ rapper took to Instagram on Friday (Jul. 9) to chat with her fans when what some would classify as an unintentional revelation occurred.
Nicki was addressing an inquiring fan who bluntly asked if she was pregnant. “I did mean to tweet this: ‘I’m not fat, y’all, I’m pregnant,'” Minaj said in response to the question. The rapper continued with her late-night chat session for several seconds before recognizing and correcting her error.
“Oh wait,” Nicki said after reading a response from a fan who declared they “knew” she was expecting. “Did I say it wrong,” Minaj asked. “I’m sorry, I think I said it wrong,” she continued. “I meant to say, ‘I’m not pregnant, I’m fat,'” Nicki corrected. It was, however, too late for many who heard the singer the first time to pretend Nicki did not initially admit to being pregnant.

Some in the comments of Minaj’s Instagram Live segment were convinced the recording artist was trolling her fans. Nicki did, after all, wait until she was nearly ready for labor and delivery to confirm her expectancy of a son two years ago. Others, however, took the recording artist for her word and moved on with other aspects of the chat session.
Nicki Minaj may not be one to openly declare her family’s expansion. The recording artist is, however, a doting mom who shares precious moments of motherhood with her fans.
It was a few weeks after she gave birth to her son in 2020 that Nicki took to Twitter to celebrate Papa Bear latching on to her breasts for his first nursing session. “He latched on in the hospital,” Minaj told her supporters. “I was afraid maybe he wouldn’t,” Nicki shared. “But breastfeeding is very painful. Pumping is too. Women make this stuff look way too easy. Moms [are] really superheroes.”
Papa Bear celebrates his second birthday later this year. He is Nicki Minaj and her husband Kenneth Petty’s first child.
