According to Deadline, in the series, Jones portrays Tiffany Quilkin, the only child of success-oriented, mixed race parents. She has big plans for her future and no intention of seeing them derailed. While she is at times willing to improve on the truth when in a tight spot, there is no denying that Tiffany, (Jones), is crazy smart. She boasts an encyclopedic knowledge of pop culture, a love of gadgets and technology. She has been delivering papers for a little over a year.

If Jones’s face looks familiar, it should. She was a regular on the ABC comedy pilot Steps, where she portrayed Cameron Boyce’s sister, in one of his final roles. Jones can currently be seen in a recurring role in the Epix series Perpetual Grace. Additionally, she can be seen in Ava Duvernay’s Cherish the Day anthology on OWN. Additional roles for this talented young actress include: ABC‘s The Mayor and NBC’s Law & Order True Crime.

So just what can fans expect from this upcoming series? Well, check out a synopsis below per Justjaredjr.com.

In the early morning hours after Halloween 1988, four paper girls—Erin, Mac, Tiffany, and KJ—are out on their delivery route when they become caught in the crossfire between warring time-travelers, changing the course of their lives forever. Transported into the future, these girls must figure out a way to get back home to the past, a journey that will bring them face-to-face with the grown-up versions of themselves.

While reconciling that their futures are far different than their 12-year-old selves imagined, they are being hunted by a militant faction of time-travelers known as the Old Watch, who have outlawed time travel so that they can stay in power. In order to survive, the girls will need to overcome their differences and learn to trust each other, and themselves.

Paper Girls is based on the graphic novels written by Brian K. Vaughan and illustrated by Cliff Chiang. The series is set to premiere on July 29th!
