Hazel-E is recovering from a miscarriage she and her husband, De’Von Waller, suffered earlier this year. The Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood (LHHH) star recently took to Instagram with the news of her family’s loss.
“So there’s a reason why we did not announce our pregnancy,” Hazel shared. The Reality TV star was responding to rumors that she and her husband were expecting their second child, which began to spread like wildfire a few days ago.
“There were complications due to my infection from surgery,” Hazel-E revealed. “And so I didn’t want to get anyone’s hopes up. I was trying to maintain my expectations. The baby did not make it, unfortunately, and we had a miscarriage. And we’re going to get through. We’re okay. We’ll be okay.”
Several media sources reported Hazel-E and De’Von Waller were expecting after receiving the news from credible sources. Neither Hazel nor De’Von responded to the rumors.
“For all the websites that announced my pregnancy, maybe you should let people announce stuff on their own time,” Hazel-E said in reference to her pregnancy news. “If I wasn’t mentally strong, that could have super triggered me,” the Reality TV star said.
Hazel-E was a publicist before being propelled into the spotlight as a cast member on Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood. She evolved into a recording artist on the show, though she was counted as the underdog by some of her peers. Ray J even made a bet to work with Hazel-E in the studio as a sort of joke during one episode of LHHH. He was pleasantly surprised to find Hazel ready to deliver incredible lyrics.

In addition to being transparent about her career, Hazel-E has also been upfront about the effects of plastic surgery. The Reality TV star took to social media last year to delve into the complications she faced after undergoing plastic surgery in 2015.
“I just want to let all the younger girls and people considering plastic surgery know that it’s not an easy road,” Hazel revealed. “Everybody looks at the results and thinks, ‘Ohh my gosh she looks so great. Her BBL (Brazilian Butt Lift) is so poppin’ (sic). Oh my god, her mommy makeover is so great.’ But just know the road to recovery is work,” Hazel-E said. “It’s work,” she reiterated.
“You have to put in lots of work and know that those perfect figures, those round booties, those big boobies … it didn’t come easy.”
De’Von Waller and Hazel-E welcomed their daughter, Ava Dior Waller, nearly two years ago. The little one celebrates her second birthday on June 15, 2022. Hazel-E and De’Von Waller celebrate three years of marriage in October.
