Coparenting at its finest! Wiz Khalifa and his ex-wife, Amber Rose, threw an early birthday party for their son, Sebastian Thomaz, at Defy Trampoline Park in Thousand Oaks, California on Saturday.
The friendly exes took to their respective Instagram pages to share photos from the anime themed bash. In one snap, Sebastian can be seen smiling widely as he poses with his parents, their significant others, and his little brother.
Wiz Khalifa captioned the photo, “Thanks @defy.thousandoaks for hosting Bash’s 9th birthday party. [Stuff] was a rager.”
Amber Rose added, “We had the coolest Anime birthday party for Sebastian! We Love you Pumpkin!”
Khalifa and Rose welcomed Sebastian on February 21, 2013 and shortly after, they tied the knot in July 2013. The former couple finalized their divorce three years after their wedding, but continue to co-parent their son harmoniously.
“For me and Wiz, we’ve always been really good at co-parenting because you have to understand, even if you technically still have feelings for that person, maybe right after the breakup and stuff, it’s not about what they’re doing in their personal life,” Rose said of co-parenting during a recent interview with Us Weekly. “It’s about the kids,” the celebrity mom added.
The model and activist added that co-parenting with Wiz is “easy” and allows them an opportunity to individually focus on their careers as well. “It gives us time to also work,” she told Us. “When he’s with me, his dad gets to work on a lot of stuff and vice versa … We have 50/50 custody, so it kind of makes it easy to schedule all my work stuff when he’s with his dad. So I’ll just have a jam-packed schedule for a full week when he’s with his dad and when he comes back home to me, my team knows to kind of keep everything very short and small.”
