WNBA star Candace Parker and her wife Anna Petrakova have welcomed their first child together. The couple shared a joint statement about the newest member of their family on their respective Instagram pages. They captioned a series of sweet photos, “Airr Larry Petrakov Parker 2-11-22. We are in absolute love and utter appreciation that Goose chose us. Welcome to the fam SON.”
In December 2021, Parker and Petrakova revealed that they were married and expecting a child together when they celebrated their two-year anniversary.
“Happy Anniversary Моя жена! 2 years ago, I got to marry my best friend in front of our close family and friends. My heart could have exploded. I cried like a baby….To know me or you is to know our love. This journey hasn’t been easy. I am proud of us and what we have built and who we have grown to become both individually and together,” Candace wrote in an Instagram post.
She continued, “Thank you for always loving Lailaa as your own, being my calm, my support, my voice of reason, my laughs, my cuddles, my dance in the rain, my happy, my home… Thanks for constantly challenging me and telling me when I’m wrong . I LOVE YOU. I appreciate you, I value you and what we have.”
Anna PetraKova also expressed her love for Candace Parker and her “bonus daughter” during this past Valentine’s Day. She wrote, “Happy V-Day to my rock, my baby mommy, my lead singer (preferably 90’s and 00’s rnb), my ride-or-die (as long as there is coffee and wine), my gossip in the shower, my one-of-a kind wife!”
Adding of Lailaa, “Also to my sweet, big-hearted, goofy, dancing and twirling through life bonus daughter! And to the rest of our children (dogs are people too).”
Candace shares daughter Lailaa with ex-husband Shelden Williams, whom she married on November 13, 2008. In November 2016, Williams filed for divorce claiming irreconcilable differences.
