Tisha Campbell’s oldest son, Xen Martin, is a licensed driver! The veteran actress shared the exciting news of her son’s accomplishment on Instagram earlier this week.
Xen called his grandfather immediately after receiving his driver’s license. “My baby my baby my babyyyyyyyy,” Tisha exclaimed in an Instagram post. “Oh my God,” Campbell added. “Xen got his license,” the celebrity mom exclaimed. “I love you,” Tisha wrote to her son. “You make me proud!”
Xen is indeed growing by leaps and bounds. It was just last year that Tisha Campbell took to Instagram to celebrate her son’s twentieth birthday.
“From the moment I looked into your eyes I knew I was in love,” Tisha wrote to her son. “The greatest gift I thought I could give to you was independence but you added confidence, tenacity, intelligence, and kindness all on your own despite any challenges,” the actress shared.
“I couldn’t raise a boy to a man on my own,” Tisha told Xen. “If it wasn’t something I could give or teach you, YOU sought out positive role models to help guide you into manhood,” the celebrity mom continued. “Your immense desire to be a STRONG DEPENDABLE man and to take care of me, your little brother, and to be a considerate, loving, and trustworthy person to your girlfriend makes me PROUD! YOU just make me PROUD. Happy birthday my love.”
Xen gets much of his tenacity from his mom. Tisha Campbell recently opened up about her journey to wholeness after ending her marriage to Duane Martin, which spanned upwards of 20 years.
“No one knows that but I had nothing,” Campbell shared during her interview with Entertainment Tonight (ET). “Nothing in the bank. Nothing,” Tisha continued. “I had maybe $7 to my name and I was scared. It was like I was starting all over.”
Tisha Campbell and Duane Martin parent two kids, Xen and Ezekiel, together. The former couple’s youngest son, Ezekiel, turns 13-years-old in September.
