Motherhood has changed Nicki Minaj in every way. The celebrity mom recently sat down with James Corden of The Late Late Show to discuss her life as a mom.
“I think motherhood has made me see more good in people, more good in the universe,” Nicki told James. “It makes you more of a forgiving person,” Minaj added.
“When I look at my son, I’m reminded that I am so blessed,” the celebrity mom further explained. “I realized, for so many women, this is their dream. Their dream is to have a child and not everybody gets that blessing. So when you have a little baby, you are reminded every day like, ‘Oh my God. Thank you, God, for this little gift.'”
Nicki Minaj and her husband, Kenneth Petty, married in 2020. Nicki and Kenneth’s son, whom Minaj affectionately calls Papa Bear, arrived weeks after Nicki confirmed her expectancy of a child. The rapper’s fans suspected Nicki Minaj as pregnant before she confirmed her family’s expansion. The rapper released a music video days before officially revealing her expectancy that settled any doubts fans held.
“He’s just walking around and telling everybody, grown adults, ‘What are you doing? What are you doing?'” Nicki Minaj told James Corden during her recent interview on The Late Late Show. “If I’m feeding him his food and take too long with the next spoon, he’s like ‘What are you doing? What are you doing?’ I’m like, what are YOU doing?” Nicki shared. “And he repeats everything now so a couple of times I feel like we might’ve heard him say something a little crazy.”
