Brandy’s daughter, Sy’Rai Smith, is channeling her mom in music and fashion. The young adult recently took to Instagram to share pictures of herself while Sy’Rai’s mom, Brandy, showcased her daughter’s talent online.
Sy’Rai sampled ‘Anybody’ from Brandy’s Full Moon album on her forthcoming song. Of course, the up-and-coming artist’s vocal abilities were nothing short of fantastic on the record.
“This Special angel in disguise is mine,” Brandy said of her daughter. “Listen [to] @syraismith ‘s beautiful angelic voice,” the veteran singer said. “I literally saw her Write, Record, and engineer this all by herself,” Brandy further doted on her daughter regarding Sy’Rai’s new song. “Of course, she made me leave here and there,” the celebrity mom admitted. “But so happy she posted this snippet.”
Sy’Rai Smith began to follow in her mom’s footsteps several years ago. The youngster started receiving attention from the public during her teen years as Brandy shared a few snippets of her daughter singing at school events and impromptu at home. Brandy recently expressed her desire to serve as Sy’Rai’s support system as the rising star navigates her way through the music industry.
“I’m so happy for her and that she’s coming into her own,” Brandy said of her daughter during a recent interview. “I would love for her to follow in my footsteps,” the celebrity mom continued. “I think she has everything it’s going to take,” Brandy added.
“She has a beautiful spirit about her and I want her to get into her whole philanthropy,” the celebrity mom shared when reflecting on the importance of charity. Brandy has collaborated with big brands such as T.J. Maxx and HomeGoods to give back to the less fortunate. “I think it’s great,” the celebrity mom said. “I would love for [Sy’Rai] to do things like that giving back, and that’s all a part of it.”
