Earlier today, Masika Kalysha explained that she shot the Christmas photos herself due to conflicts arising from COVID.

She began, “I get pretty crazy over our annual Christmas Card photos… so on the morning of our Christmas shoot this yr my MUA found out she has Covid. So I rescheduled with another MUA the following day… and guess what… he tested positive for covid later that evening. I kept trying to pull this shoot together but it seemed like the more I tried the more everything fell apart.”

She continued, “I had to step back and learn the lesson. Omarion outchea touchin erbody. It’s almost as if we decided we’re sick of COVID so it’s over but that’s such an irresponsible thought. So for the Christmas Photos this year, I set my camera up on my tripod, set the timer and let it auto shoot me and KB. I didn’t put on a stitch of makeup (shout out to my editing skills) and I was just truly grateful for my family and our health. How did I do guys?”

Masika, who shares one daughter with rapper Fetty Wap, says that COVID has ‘hit my family hard as hell”.

She writes, “This Christmas I want to say a special prayer for all those who are celebrating without a loved one that they lost to Covid. Covid hit my family HARD as hell this year… myself included. I’m so grateful we all recovered and I’m able to tell you guys this story.”

“We all have to continue to do our part. Stay safe. Stay inside as much as you can. And when you go out MASK UP, sanitize and BE RESPONSIBLE! If you don’t feel well I don’t care if it’s the common cold go get a Covid test! I’m so grateful for my team who followed Covid protocol and had zero issues getting tested. Thank you for keeping us all safer.”
